The Challenge
Heavenly Donuts Truck, a mobile donut vendor based in the U.S., approached Das Design Studio with a clear but vital mission:
Design a visually striking menu that is both TV display-friendly and print-ready, reflecting their vibrant brand identity while showcasing their actual products.
Their goal? To grab attention, spark cravings instantly, and make ordering as easy as biting into a warm, glazed donut.
The Approach
We kicked things off by reviewing their brand palette — a mouthwatering combination of pastel pinks, creamy blues, and frosting-inspired accents. Instead of relying on overly stylized stock imagery, the client shared high-quality product photographs, which aligned perfectly with our philosophy:
“People don’t eat clipart. They want to see the real deal.” 🍩
Our design team removed all backgrounds from the provided images, ensuring each donut stood out in glorious, ultra-clean high-res detail. We organized the layout symmetrically, with pricing and product names clearly visible — whether viewed on a 4K TV menu or handheld flyer. The two-tone background created an appetizing visual rhythm, guiding the eyes across each tasty item.
Typography was kept bold and legible, with a minimal, modern style that emphasizes product-first design.
The Outcome
The final menu design was everything Heavenly Donuts Truck hoped for and more. With a deliciously clean and clutter-free layout, the menu showcased true-to-life product images—because let’s face it, taste begins with the eyes. Its TV-friendly visuals were designed to pop even in bright outdoor settings, while the print-ready format made it perfect for flyers, handouts, and truck decals. The client was thrilled with the outcome and wasted no time rolling it out across their fleet and digital displays, proudly calling it “the best-looking menu we’ve had since we launched.
