The Challenge

Waters Edge Hotel, one of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious event venues, approached us to visually bring to life their romantic, high-profile event titled “Love at the Edge.” The brief? Deliver a complete visual identity package for the event — including logo design, print and digital media, venue branding, and social media event handling — all while maintaining a consistent romantic tone, brand elegance, and high visual impact.

We had to capture the emotional depth of love while reflecting the luxurious atmosphere of Waters Edge. The deliverables list was long and diverse:

  • Logo & event theme identity
  • Hoardings & entrance backdrop design
  • Flyers, X-banners, web banners
  • Social media posts and event teasers
  • Cohesive branding across digital + physical media

The Approach

At Das Design Studio, we dove deep into the emotion, tone, and energy of the event — love, elegance, celebration, and exclusivity. Our design language revolved around romantic hues (deep reds, warm pinks, and elegant gold), fluid shapes, and bold, modern typography that communicates both love and luxury.

The logo was created with an elegant typeface and heart-inspired design forms that symbolized love, union, and celebration.

We designed print materials like flyers, x-banners, and large-format hoardings to maintain a consistent look across every guest touchpoint.

Our digital team created a suite of web banners, countdown posts, and social media graphics optimized for both engagement and visual storytelling.

For event entrance art, we designed a stunning, immersive backdrop that not only welcomed guests but also served as a social media photo-op moment.

We ensured brand consistency across all platforms — from roadside banners to mobile screens — to create a seamless visual narrative for the event.

The Outcome

The event branding we created turned “Love at the Edge” into more than a celebration — it became a highly visual, emotionally resonant experience.
